Videocard – DualView/DualHead driver-software?

I own a Matrox G450 DualHead DVI PCI videocard. I am trying to get the dualhead mode active so that i can use 2 monitors at the same time for my desktop. I have already installed the matrox drivers which installs its special software for controlling such things but it has a very adverse affect on Windows XP performance — Firefox browsing crawls.

Im hoping for software which can activate this dualhead mode but not affect my system performance so badly. Is there some generic software out there which can help

Something is wrong, the 450 does dual screen well, so in your case, your software/hardware setup may be wrong
